What we collect, why we collect it, and how to get it back or get rid of it. Written specifically for this service rather than copied from a template, so it should actually match what happens.
1. Who is responsible
SkillNexa.ai, ITI Layout, 1st cross, Bangalore, 560016, India. Contact info@decodesoftwaretech.com about anything in this policy.
2. What we collect
Details you give us
- Name, email address and mobile number when you register.
- Your college, course, branch and study years, if you choose to add them.
- The role you are aiming for and the skills you select.
- Anything you type into a resume, project or written answer.
What you produce here
- The code you submit, and the result of running it.
- Which sessions you opened and completed, and your scores.
- Interview questions you report, if you choose to report any.
How your work was produced
When you write code we record aggregate measurements of the editing: how many characters were typed versus pasted, how many corrections were made, the number of typing bursts, and coarse timing statistics. We use these to judge how strongly a result evidences your own ability.
We do not record your keystrokes. Only counts and timings leave your browser. Nothing stored can reconstruct what you typed, and none of it is collected outside the code editor.
Payments
We store what you bought, the amount, the date and the payment reference. We never receive your card number, UPI PIN or bank credentials — those go directly to Razorpay and never reach our servers.
3. Why we use it
- To run your account and show you your own work.
- To build your learning path and decide what to suggest next — this is the core of the service.
- To grade submissions and calculate your readiness score.
- To take payment and give you a receipt.
- To send service email: verification, password resets, and messages about your account.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising on the service and do not share your details with advertisers.
4. Who else processes it
Running this service means some data passes through other companies. These are the only ones:
- Razorpay — payments. Receives what is needed to take the payment.
- Google — sign-in with Google, if you use it, and the AI model that writes lesson content, marks written answers and produces hints. Text you submit for marking is sent to that model.
- Judge0 — the sandbox your code is executed in. Receives the code you submit.
- Our email provider — delivers service email. Receives your email address.
5. What other people can see
Your profile visibility is yours to set. By default other learners at your college can see your name and readiness score; you can change this to private at any time in your profile.
A public profile is published only if you explicitly create one. It is then visible to anyone with the link, including search engines, until you take it down.
If your college’s placement cell uses our dashboard, staff there can see the readiness of students who joined using their invite code. Students whose profile is set to private appear without their name.
6. How long we keep it
While your account exists, and for as long as needed afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations — payment records are generally kept for eight years, as Indian tax law requires.
Ask us to delete your account and we remove your personal details and your work. Anonymous aggregates that cannot identify you, such as how often a question is reported, may remain.
7. Your choices
- See what we hold about you.
- Correct anything wrong — most of it directly in your profile.
- Delete your account and your data.
- Take your work with you as a file.
- Make your profile private, or unpublish a public one.
Email info@decodesoftwaretech.com from the address on your account and we will act on it as soon as we can.
8. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in a readable form. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Submitted code runs in an isolated sandbox with network access disabled, so it cannot reach our systems or anyone else’s.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority, promptly and without being asked.
9. Children
The service is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email info@decodesoftwaretech.com and we will remove it.
10. Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
